Cultes Des Ghoules "Deeds without a name - Eyes of Satan" LP

In April 2021, Cultes des Ghoules released two digital EPs: Deeds Without a Name and Eyes of Satan. By December 2021, both would be available together on vinyl via EAL Productions, at the band’s request, to honor a darker tradition. Both EPs were recorded around the same time in Black Lodge, the band’s studio, and share similar foundations with contrasting expressions. Deeds Without a Name leans into Cultes des Ghoules’ classic Black Metal sound, blending doom influences with dark, intricate instrumentals, eerie keyboards, and distinct riffs, marking the close of an era for the band. In contrast, Eyes of Satan, recorded during a trance session on the summer solstice of 2020, ventures into ritual ambient with Black Metal roots. It layers haunting organs, effects, chants, and a tribal take on percussion, creating a sense of unsettling, psychedelic horror—a signal of the band's future direction. 32+ minutes on black vinyl.
