Deathsiege is like the demented Middle Eastern younger sibling of Angelcorpse and Perdition Temple. They channel that frantic, slippery Angelcorpse riffing style, but instead of breaking it up with moments of swaggering groove, they maintain a relentless, war-metal barrage. The riffs are almost always lightning-fast and as intense as the flames on the album cover. When they slow down—if only briefly—it’s to weave in blink-and-you’ll-miss-it hooks amidst the merciless chaos. The vocals are gruff, rapid-fire, and brimming with venomous energy, while the solos range from dive-bombing chaos to reverb-soaked, speed-picked black/thrash cascades. The drumming showcases occasional flashes of finesse during rare mid-paced moments, but the drummer’s clear preference lies in delivering non-stop artillery fire. Throne of Heresy sounds like the deafening clash of two armies meeting head-on in the heart of the battlefield. Black vinyl edition limited to 350 pieces on 180g wax.
