Proclamation "Imperious jaws of ire" LP

Many bands fall into the trap of mere worship, but Proclamation is more than that. While the accusations of Blasphemy-worship aren’t entirely unfounded, this is something far more volatile. If anything, this Spanish horde takes the black/death blueprint and hurls it deeper into the flames. Faster, darker, and far more chaotic than their Canadian forebears, Proclamation doesn’t imitate — they incinerate. Sharing members with Teitanblood, they carry that same malicious intent, but where Teitanblood drags death metal through pitch-black muck, Proclamation is unmistakably black metal first and foremost. This isn’t the frostbitten grimness of the north; this is blasphemy forged in a furnace. The atmosphere is oppressive, not ethereal like being crushed inside the sun-scorched inner circles of hell. The guitar tone is pure firestorm: a thick fog of distortion masking riffs that, once deciphered, reveal themselves as some of the darkest, most crushing in the genre. It’s not music for casual listening as it’s a full-on assault. And that’s the point. If you like your black metal wild, evil, and hellishly loud with just enough death metal muscle to raise the stakes, Proclamation will leave your bones charred. Not for the faint of heart. For fans of Blasphemy, Teitanblood, Beherit and the true unholy underground.
