Vomit Messiah "Chapel of black ceremonies" CD
From the depths of Spain’s diseased underground comes Vomit Messiah, a black/death abomination forged in the sulphur of Blasphemy, Beherit, Teitanblood and Proclamation. This is bestial metal at its most primitive and punishing, both grinding and slower, doom-laced, and utterly suffocating.
Relentless riffs crawl and crush while haunting keyboard passages ooze through the chaos, giving the violence a ritualistic, macabre atmosphere. Roaring bass, rickety war-drums and ghostly vocal invocations collide into a sound that’s both savage and hypnotic. It’s as if Fallen Angel of Doom and Drawing Down the Moon were thrown into a melting pot, fused into one blasphemous entity, and reborn with a small chilling nod to the ancient Greek scene.
Dynamic and sinister, Vomit Messiah balance raw barbarism with eerie melody and oppressive weight. The result is a darker, more mature expression of Bestial Black/Death Metal that still stays true to the genre’s filthy core.
If you worship Beherit, Blasphemy, Archgoat, Sarcófago, Goatlord or Teitanblood, this is mandatory.
The true sounds of the abyss have now been immortalized on CD and LP (9 tracks/31 minutes).
